TabTrade - The Short Version
Tab Trade went live in March 2026. CFD broker incorporated in Saint Lucia, licensed through the FSRA. The person who started it is Benjamin Boulter. Before this, he was in leadership at BlackBull Markets, a New Zealand-regulated broker.
His background tells you something. It says the leadership knows how a proper broker operates. Does not guarantee anything. It is more reassuring than someone with no brokerage experience.
They launched with execution through Equinix servers. Same data centres prime brokers run on. Most new brokers starts with a white-label MT4 setup. These guys led with infrastructure. Not the typical playbook.
Market coverage: forex, indices, gold, silver, oil, energies, softs, equities, crypto, exchange-traded funds. Over 1,000 instruments. For a broker this new, that range is solid.
Platforms
They offer: MetaTrader 5, cTrader, and a browser platform. Both MT5 and cTrader from the same login. Many pick one platform. Access to both is useful. You are not locked into one.
MT5 is the industry standard. Complete charts, EAs, tons of scripts and indicators. If you have used MT4 or MT5 previously, it is familiar territory.
cTrader is the cleaner option. Better depth of market. Smoother chart interaction. Built-in algo trading. A lot of traders find it more natural after comparing.
Direct FIX connectivity is there for algo traders but requires the VIP account ($25,000 to open). TradingView charting is said to be on the roadmap. That should be a good addition when it lands.
Accounts and Pricing
Three tiers: Standard, Edge, VIP.
Standard. 1.0 pip spreads. Commission-free. Straightforward. $0 to start. Works for anyone who does not want to think about commission.
Edge account. Interbank-style spreads from 0.0 pips on average. Flat commission of $3.50 each way. What you actually pay: raw spread plus $7 per full lot. On liquid pairs, the actual interbank spread is often below 0.2 pips. So your real cost can sit below 0.5 pips. That is hard to beat for an offshore broker. Most platforms that offer pricing like this require a minimum deposit. Tab Trade has no minimum.
VIP. $25k to open. FIX API, faster fills, tailored rates. Not something the average person. Skip it unless you trade institutionally.
How Fast Are the Fills
The execution is where TabTrade separates from most new launches. Equinix data centres. Under 30ms on Edge. Under 20ms on VIP. Those are institutional numbers. The average platform operate at hundreds of milliseconds.
Does this affect you? If you trade small timeframes, absolutely. The gap between fast execution and sluggish execution is the difference between. If you trade higher timeframes, it matters less. But the fact that the setup is serious. That is what kind of broker this is.
Combine those fill times with the Edge account pricing and what you get holds up. Not many platforms in this bracket offer execution like this.
Safety
This is the thing you need to be straight about. TabTrade is licensed by Saint Lucia's FSRA. That is offshore. No ASIC. No government-backed safety net. If that makes you uncomfortable, look elsewhere. There are tier-1 alternatives out there.
But. The founder came from BlackBull Markets, a tier-1 regulated broker. The server placement is expensive. Scam brokers do not pay for Equinix connectivity. None of this guarantee anything. It does be part of your decision.
What you are accepting: you trade regulatory safety. For that: high leverage, cheap spreads, $0 to start, Equinix execution. Whether this deal makes sense is your call.
